Frequently Asked Questions

Why Therapy?

People seek therapy for a variety of reasons. Some seek therapy to find some relief from what they are feeling, and some of the symptoms that these feelings may be producing. Some may be in acute pain, in need of someone to talk to. Others seek therapy because they can be tired of feeling or experiencing the same things in their life, and are looking for ways to change. Either way, the people who seek therapy are usually those that understand that Talking Helps.

How long will it take for me to feel better?

Psychotherapy can take a few sessions, or many years, depending on the extent to which issues are explored. Your progress will be evaluated continuously, and treatment goals will be mutually decided upon.

How do I prepare for psychoanalysis?

The hardest thing to do is to pick up the phone to call and make an appointment. Once that is accomplished, all that you need to do is to keep an open mind and allow yourself to develop trust in the therapist.
